Never did I think I would I be a career coach or start my own career consulting agency.
The idea first came to me back in the summer of 2019. I had just graduated from college and was promoted from an intern to a coordinator. That was the first time I negotiated my salary and it was one of the most nerve-racking things I had ever done. I had read every article I could find on Google in the night's before I spoke with my boss. In the end, it all worked out and I got the pay that I wanted. I was ecstatic!
As the summer months went by, I saw more and more of my peers venting on their social media about how they couldn't find a job and how the whole process had been stressful. That's when I decided I could take what I had learned from my time in the workforce to help others in reaching their career goals.
I created Hustle to assist other young professionals in navigating their careers. The name “Hustle” is an ode to my Memphis roots and represents both determination and resiliency. To me, "hustle" perfectly represents our generation and our willingness to do whatever it takes to be successful.
With this blog, I hope take away some of the uncertainty of job searching and empower you to advance in your career. In the coming post you can expect career advice, resume tips, interviews with professionals, and a ton of other informative things!
